Stephanie will find the best times available for you and will work with your schedule to make sure the appointment will be at the best possible time for you. Once Stephanie has told you who will be coming to your home, if you choose, you can go to our website and see a picture of the Estimators and even view a video of them detailing why they are with Wilson’s Home Improvement.
Once the estimator arrives at your home, he will begin to share with you our company history. He will show you the benefits of Wilson’s Home Improvement and give you a breakdown of the differences between our company and others in our industry. Depending on what you are wanting, he will measure for cost and provide you with a written estimate before he leaves your home. He will also ask that you take a few moments and answer a few questions about how you heard of Wilson’s. We try very hard to make sure we utilize our marketing dollars in the most effective way possible and this survey helps us accomplish that. Being good stewards with our advertising budget is another way we know we can continue to offer, “The best of the best for less”.
Once Wilson’s has earned your business and you have accepted the estimate the Estimator turns it in to the office. The estimate is processed and sent to the correct department. The siding orders go to our Siding Manager and the window orders go to our Window Manager. The manager will then send a Supervisor to your home to get precise measurements for installation. Don’t worry your original estimate will stand!
When you order windows from Wilson’s Home Improvement, they are all custom made. They are made with your design preference and exact specifications to fit your home. Once the measurements are taken, the windows are ordered. It takes about 2 to 3 weeks for your custom windows to be made and delivered. Once we have your windows in our warehouse, a manager will call you to schedule a convenient time for us to install them. Most window installations take 1 to 2 days. We ask that the homeowner is present during this installation process. A supervisor will come out to your home within 10 to 14 days of the jobs completion. This Supervisors job will thoroughly inspect each window and make sure that everything was done according to Wilson’s window installation protocol.
When you order siding from Wilson’s Home Improvement, we first determine if we have what you want in our warehouse. If we do, we can start your job within 1 to 2 weeks. If we don’t have the siding you requested in stock, we have to order it and you can expect your job to begin within 2 to 3 weeks. Once we have all the material necessary to complete your home, our siding manager will call you to schedule a convenient time for our installers to begin/ It isn’t necessary to be home when we are installing the siding on your home. However, we do request that you be there to meet the crew the first day. We like for each homeowner to know who will be on their property and doing the job they have asked us to do. Plus, you may have some questions and that would be a perfect time for you to have them answered. Within 48 hours, a Siding Supervisor will come out to your home to introduce himself, and leave you a cell phone number so you can reach him at any time if you have questions or concerns. He will then stop by periodically, depending on the size of the job to make sure that installation is being done according to Wilson’s siding installation protocol and that production goals are being met. If, at any time during his visits or inspection, he finds ANYTHING not done by Wilson’s protocol, the installers have to redo it immediately. However, they will only get paid for doing it ONCE because we expect it to be done right the first time. Once the siding installation on your home is completed, a super visor will come back to your home and do a final inspection. He is detail oriented and is trained to see things most people miss. If he see’s anything that isn’t right, he will require that is it fixed before he will sign off that your home is completed. This is another measure of safety that we put in place for our customers because what it best for you is best for Wilson’s. We are thorough and want to make sure we are doing exactly what we have said we would.
After the inspection is complete, and you have paid, you will get your warranties and a questionnaire along with a self-addressed stamped envelope. We ask that you fill out this questionnaire and return it to us. This is another level of accountability that we put into practice to protect our customers.
