We’ve have heard many stories about how people have been offended when other siding and window companies fire off numerous, personal questions before they will even give them an appointment for an estimate. They are asked about their credit, if they will need financing and even asked for their social security number to pre-qualify them for financing! This is ALL done before the estimate and before the customer even knows IF they want to use this company! Ladies have been asked if they are married and if their husband will be home and men are asked if they are the only decision maker.
First of all, when you shop for anything these days, you probably hop online, do some research, review pricing, determine how the purchase will fit in to your budget, and then identify where you want to get estimates. Our customers are no different. However, we believe that we have to EARN the right to have the conversation. Obviously, we choose to not greet our customers with “Thank-you for calling Wilson’s, what type of credit do you have?”! We still believe that there is much to be said for building rapport and that the customer needs to TRUST us.
Then there is that annoying (insulting) “decision maker” question. We understand that husbands and wives can’t always be at the same place at the same time. Maybe the husband is deployed, serving our country in the military or maybe he works out of town. Perhaps the woman isn’t married and doesn’t need to consult anyone when making a financial commitment. Regardless, it doesn’t matter to us. Our job is to give you ALL the information so you can make an informed decision about your vinyl siding and windows. If your significant other can’t be there and you need to make that decision together, we understand that too. If you have any questions when you are discussing it, all you have to do is call and we will answer all of your questions!
We want to make the process as enjoyable as possible, so if you are in the market for vinyl siding and windows, call us and experience the “Wilson’s Difference”!
